My name is Sherry Wynn Perdue and I have been offering editing and custom writing services for academic and business professionals since 1999. As my business has grown, mostly through word of mouth, I've found the need to expand my staff and services. Fortunately, the staffing issue was addressed when I assumed leadership of a university writing center. There I mentor a cadre of writing consultants, many of whom major in professional writing, technical writing, and editing. Although they are no longer eligible to work for the university upon graduation, they happily transition into freelance writing and editing for WriteSpace Consulting, an arrangement that has been and continues to be mutually rewarding.
Every member of my team is well-trained and vetted. They have experience with multiple genres, documentation styles, and subject matter. Some have worked for publishing companies like Cengage and Pearson. Others have won awards for their scholarship and non-fiction prose. Still others, like Jennifer, have edited books and special issues of academic publications.
We offer our collective expertise in support of academic publications, such as books, journal articles, white papers, curriculum vitae, tenure documentation, accreditation documents, teaching statements, personal statements, and graduate application essays; business documents, such as proposals, reports, web copy, and annual reports; and a host of custom projects, such as memoirs, tributes, short stories, and even novels.
